For this week’s Nexus 5 ROM of the Week, check out Android 5.0 Lollipop ROM with root! This is not the final version of Android 5.0 (as it is still a preview) but after trying it for couple days I can say the final product is going to be nearly identical. Finally! Thanks to XDA user vomer, now you do not have to install the firmware manually but easily install it using CWM/TWRP recovery by using a flashable zip file. This is exact same version of Android L Preview firmware, but you can easily get it without having all of your storage erased. Now you can try it out easily by making a backup ROM, then installing the Android L Preview ROM. Here’s a quick update on Android 4.4.4, which was just released today. There’s not too much changes other than minor security updates. I suspect it may have something to do with the latest TowelRoot, which allows easy rooting on Android 4.4.3 through a security hole in Linux kernel.
